Bear Pond Books: water and books and computers

We know tech but use it in non-traditional ways so computers are only peripherally part of our usual business. But when one of the maker shop members calls the day after The Flood, you set all of the art aside, roll up your sleeves, and get to work restoring. In this case, Bear Pond Books became our home for the remainder of July and half-way into August.

We helped them recover hardware and what we could of software. We then got down to business replacing networking equipment and PCs, as well as putting a disaster-proof database system.

Robyn also got addicted to Swedish Fish thanks to Jane in Kid's.

5 weeks after the flood (August 18th), Amanda and Rob verify that things are again working as they should be.
