Escapist Velocity in process for maker showcase
We're working out some smaller pieces for the Middlesex Maker's Showcase, including Escapist Velocity.
We started with a maple coin to act as a base and a coil of annealed wire to serve as a tracer of the journey:
A piece of scrap di-bond was tested for size and weight on the spring. It had good balance and was light enough to bob the wire without collapsing it.
A rocket graphic was added, as were tail fins.
Once we were confident of the flight path tracer, we moved from the temporary coin base to a more planetary surface:
The new surface required some adaptation of the coil mount and InstaMorph jumped in as a place-holding moon rock:
Stay tuned for more progress updates.
